Barry Smyth, Show Director - Search Summit


Barry started Search Strategies in 2006 having spent a number of years in the Search Engine Marketing world, working with Search Marketing Agency & Technology company Decide Interactive as a Business Development Manager & Search Marketer, Decide was acquired by 24/7 Real Media in August 2004.
Whilst at Decide & 24/7 Real Media Barry ran successful Search Marketing campaigns for high profile Australian & International companies that included Flight Centre, ZUJI, Expedia & Jobsearch.
Prior to Decide Interactive Barry worked in a variety of interactive roles including Sales Director of online ad serving business Sabela Media that was acquired by NASDAQ-listed 24/7 Media & also held sales management roles within Akamai Technologies & Engage Media’s ad serving division.
Barry is a member of serving member of SEMPO, the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Orginazation, currently sits on the Global Committee & is in the process of putting together a working group to start an Australian Chapter of SEMPO.
